Honolu Poke is a Hawaiian-inspired poké shop. For the logo, I drew inspiration from the poke’s main ingredient—delicious, fresh fish—as well as the business’s focus on takeout service.
The design combines these elements into a single symbol, resulting in a versatile logo that can be used in two orientations: horizontally, it depicts a fish, and vertically, it represents a bowl with chopsticks.
The playful combination of the elements was a perfect fit for the fun and light hearted feeling the client wanted to transmit. The decision of drawing the icon in a simple, minimalist way with just a few thin lines, helps portray the simplicity and healthy lifestyle these dishes represent. The visual identity uses warm-fresh colors and joyful patterns on the paper cups and trays giving the restaurant a lively and young look.
